WORKS GREAT FOR CHINCHILLA FEET "We all know that chinchillas in captivity often have foot issues because of the soft but hard surfaces they stand on constantly. This works well to prevent bumble foot from forming and actually treats the callouses pretty well. I'm not sure why it works, it just does." From Amazon - Elizabeth P. December 29, 2022

THE GO-TO FOR FLOCK INJURIES Always make sure to have some Blu-Kote on hand if you have a larger flock of chickens, as more often than not you will have some pecking order damage along the way. The dye covers up any pink/red spots that are a natural draw to chickens, while the antibacterial and antifungal ingredients help to prevent secondary infections. I've found the aerosol version works the best long term, as the more traditional pump nozzle bottle gets clogged and leaks. Also, make sure to wear gloves and an older set of clothes when applying - this stuff stains bad! From Chewy.com - by Kelly on Mar 3, 2024

TRIED AND TRUE My grandfather used this when his birds pecked each other, and I do too. It works great to disguise bare spots and injuries. My only complaint is that it stains everything it comes into contact with, but it's a small price to pay to keep an injured bird from further injury. In my experience it stays put for 2-3 days before it needs to be reapplied. Everyone who keeps poultry needs to have a can of this in their first aid kit. From Chewy - by Amy on Jan 1, 2024

WORKS GREAT

Works great for when your goats or sheep get caught playing too rough with each other. Would recommend.

Tips for Removing
Blu-Kote from hands, clothes, and more . . . .

Blu-Kote is a product that is meant to stain. So, our first word of advice is to always wear gloves. Even after the product is dry - it can rub off of the animal's hide, fur, feathers and stain whatever else it comes in contact with. In our plant, we use rubbing alcohol to remove Blu-Kote from hands and some clothing.
